1. Commitment

MRAA is committed to providing an inclusive digital experience for applicants, members, artists, labels, creators, influencers, brands, industry professionals, award recipients, and members of the public, including people with disabilities.

MRAA seeks to improve the accessibility and usability of its public website, member portal, application forms, payment pages, certification records, documents, and support services.

2. Accessibility Goal

MRAA’s ongoing goal is to make its digital services reasonably accessible and to use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, including WCAG 2.1 Level AA, as a technical reference where appropriate.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. This statement is not a representation that every page, document, integration, or third-party service currently satisfies every accessibility guideline.

3. Accessibility Measures

MRAA may use measures such as:

  • Clear page headings

  • Descriptive form labels

  • Keyboard-accessible navigation

  • Visible focus indicators

  • Alternative text for meaningful images

  • Sufficient text contrast

  • Resizable text

  • Captions or transcripts for important video content

  • Error messages that identify the affected field

  • Accessible buttons and links

  • Plain-language instructions

  • Testing with automated and manual methods

  • Reviewing new pages and features for accessibility

4. Third-Party Content

Some MRAA services may depend on third-party payment processors, forms, video players, social-media tools, document viewers, analytics tools, or embedded content.

MRAA may not control every accessibility feature offered by an independent provider. MRAA will make reasonable efforts to select accessible providers and offer an alternative method when practical.

5. Alternative Access

A person who cannot access an application, policy, certification record, payment page, document, or other MRAA service may request assistance or an alternative format.

Depending on the request, MRAA may provide:

  • Email assistance

  • A plain-text version

  • A large-print document

  • A telephone-assisted process

  • An alternative application method

  • A description of visual content

  • Additional time or reasonable assistance with a form

Requests will be evaluated individually and may require identity verification for private account or application information.

6. Reporting an Accessibility Problem

Accessibility concerns should include:

  • The page or service involved

  • The web address, when available

  • A description of the problem

  • The browser or assistive technology used

  • The preferred method of response

Send accessibility requests to:

MRAA Accessibility Support
Email: support@mraa.me
Mail: P.O. Box 140572, Kansas City, Missouri 64114

MRAA will make reasonable efforts to acknowledge, investigate, and address reported barriers.

7. No Retaliation

MRAA will not retaliate against a person for requesting accessibility assistance or reporting a good-faith accessibility concern.

8. Continuing Improvement

MRAA may revise this statement as its website, technology, services, and accessibility practices develop.
