Effective Date: July 24, 2026
1. Application for Membership
Submitting an application does not create a membership.
Every applicant must:
Complete the required application
Pay the displayed application fee
Provide accurate information
Submit requested documentation
Cooperate with identity, eligibility, and integrity reviews
The current membership-application fee is $50 unless a different amount is clearly displayed at checkout.
The application fee is separate from annual membership dues and is charged for intake, processing, verification, and review.
2. Approval and Denial
MRAA may approve or deny an application in its reasonable discretion.
Factors may include:
Completeness
Identity verification
Professional activity
Applicant category
Documentation
Prior conduct
Payment history
Fraud or security concerns
Consistency with MRAA standards
Risk to the integrity or reputation of MRAA
MRAA is not required to disclose confidential scoring, internal review methods, security information, third-party information, or a detailed reason for denial.
A denial notice may simply state that the application was not approved.
Unless MRAA provides an earlier date in writing, a denied applicant may submit a new application after one year. A new application and application fee may be required.
3. Annual Membership Dues
After approval, the applicant must pay the applicable annual membership dues before membership is activated.
Current standard dues are:
Individual membership: $200 annually
Business or label membership: $500 annually
The amount displayed at checkout controls if MRAA formally updates its pricing.
Application fees, annual dues, certification fees, expedited-review fees, and physical-award costs are separate charges.
4. Membership Activation
After approval and required payment, MRAA may:
Create a member profile
Send an account-activation email
Issue a temporary username or secure activation link
Require the member to create a password
Provide access to member services
The member must complete activation within the time stated in the email. An expired activation may require administrator assistance.
5. Membership Term
Membership begins on the activation date or another date shown in the member account or receipt and continues for one year unless suspended or terminated earlier.
Membership does not automatically renew unless automatic renewal is clearly disclosed at checkout and the member affirmatively agrees.
Where automatic renewal applies:
The renewal amount and frequency will be disclosed
The member may cancel before the renewal date
Cancellation will prevent future renewal charges
Cancellation does not ordinarily refund the current membership term
6. Member Benefits
Benefits may include:
Member profile access
Member certification pricing
Certification-request access
Recognition tools
Member communications
Resource access
Public-profile features
Other services announced by MRAA
Benefits may change, and not every benefit is guaranteed to remain available throughout the term.
7. Member Certification Pricing
Current member certification review is $210 per request unless another amount is displayed at checkout.
Certification is not included in annual membership dues unless MRAA expressly states otherwise in writing.
Each certification payment covers one certification request.
8. Member Responsibilities
Members must:
Keep account and contact information accurate
Protect account credentials
Use their own lawful professional identity
Maintain permission for submitted content
Promptly correct inaccurate public information
Avoid misleading claims about MRAA
Follow all MRAA policies
Cooperate with reasonable verification requests
9. Member Profiles
Members may be permitted to publish biographies, images, links, professional names, business information, credits, and other profile content.
MRAA may remove profile content that is:
False
Misleading
Infringing
Illegal
Abusive
Explicit
Unrelated
Harmful to website security
Inconsistent with MRAA standards
MRAA does not endorse every statement made on a member profile.
10. Membership Marks and Status
Membership does not authorize a member to claim:
Certification of every project
Endorsement by MRAA
Accreditation by a government agency
Affiliation with another awards organization
Ownership of MRAA marks
Authority to certify another person
A member may accurately state that the member is an active MRAA member while the membership remains active.
11. Suspension or Termination
MRAA may suspend or terminate membership for:
Nonpayment
Chargeback abuse
False submissions
Forged documents
Misuse of certification
Intellectual-property infringement
Harassment
Fraud
Security violations
Conduct materially harmful to MRAA
Violation of MRAA policies
Membership suspension or termination does not ordinarily create a refund right.
MRAA may revoke account access without automatically revoking a valid prior certification. However, a certification may be separately reviewed or revoked when its evidence or use is affected.
12. Expiration and Cancellation
A member may cancel future renewal at any time through an available account setting or by contacting support@mraa.me.
Expiration or cancellation may end:
Member-only access
Member pricing
Profile-editing access
Eligibility for member benefits
Expiration does not erase completed transactions, internal records, or valid public certification records.
13. Nontransferability
Membership belongs to the approved person or entity and may not be sold, assigned, shared, or transferred without written approval.
14. Contact
Membership questions may be sent to support@mraa.me.
