1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of mraa.me and all related MRAA websites, portals, applications, forms, certification records, payment services, member features, communications, and content.

MRAA is operated by KLM Enterprises Services LLC.

By accessing an MRAA service, creating an account, submitting an application, making a payment, uploading documentation, or requesting certification, you agree to these Terms and all policies incorporated into them.

Do not use an MRAA service if you do not agree.

2. Eligibility

A user must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering an agreement.

A minor may participate only through a parent, legal guardian, or authorized representative who accepts responsibility for the submission and payment.

A business, label, brand, organization, estate, or other entity may use MRAA only through a person authorized to act for it.

3. MRAA Services

MRAA may provide:

  • Membership applications

  • Individual and business memberships

  • Member profiles

  • Certification reviews

  • Non-member certification requests

  • Document intake

  • Independent verification and recognition

  • Public certification records

  • Digital certificates

  • Physical awards or merchandise

  • Educational and informational content

  • Related administrative services

MRAA may add, remove, suspend, or modify a feature at any time.

4. Independent Nature of MRAA

MRAA is an independent private recognition and certification program.

Unless expressly stated in writing, MRAA is not:

  • A government agency

  • A court

  • A performing-rights organization

  • A music distributor

  • A record label

  • A copyright-registration agency

  • A royalty-collection society

  • A financial auditor issuing audited financial statements

  • An agent of the RIAA or another certification organization

An MRAA membership or certification does not guarantee revenue, royalties, distribution, chart placement, media coverage, employment, financing, sponsorship, legal ownership, or recognition by another organization.

5. Accounts

Users must provide accurate account information and protect their credentials.

Users are responsible for activity occurring through their accounts unless they promptly report unauthorized access.

MRAA may require:

  • Email verification

  • Identity verification

  • Password reset

  • Multi-factor authentication

  • Additional documentation

  • Security review

MRAA may suspend an account when it reasonably suspects fraud, unauthorized access, false information, policy violations, or risk to another person.

6. User Submissions

Users retain ownership of materials they lawfully own.

By submitting content, a user grants MRAA a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, review, analyze, format, reproduce, and display the content as reasonably necessary to:

  • Process the request

  • Conduct verification

  • Maintain records

  • Communicate findings

  • Issue certificates

  • Produce awards

  • Publish authorized public certification information

  • Enforce MRAA policies

  • Protect the integrity of MRAA services

The license continues for archived records and public certifications to the extent reasonably necessary.

A user represents that the user owns or has permission to submit all content and that MRAA’s authorized use will not violate another person’s rights.

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

  • Submit false, forged, manipulated, stolen, or misleading information

  • Impersonate another person or organization

  • Claim authority they do not possess

  • Submit content they do not have permission to use

  • Attempt to reverse engineer confidential certification methods

  • Interfere with security or access controls

  • Introduce malware or harmful code

  • Scrape or harvest information without written permission

  • Use automated systems to overload the service

  • Alter or counterfeit an MRAA certificate

  • Misrepresent a certification level or status

  • Use MRAA marks in a misleading manner

  • Harass staff, applicants, members, or recipients

  • Use MRAA for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes

8. Payments

Fees will be displayed before payment.

Application fees, membership dues, certification-review fees, expedited-review charges, processing charges, physical-award costs, shipping charges, taxes, and other purchases are separate unless expressly bundled.

Payment is for the applicable service or review. Payment does not guarantee application approval, membership approval, certification approval, a requested certification level, expedited completion by a particular date, or a favorable decision.

Payments are also subject to the Refund and Final Sale Policy.

9. Electronic Communications

Users consent to receive electronic communications concerning:

  • Applications

  • Membership

  • Certification

  • Documents

  • Payments

  • Receipts

  • Security

  • Policy changes

  • Service notices

  • Account administration

Users are responsible for maintaining a current email address and checking spam or junk folders.

Marketing emails may be unsubscribed from where required, but users may continue receiving transactional or legally required communications.

10. Third-Party Services

MRAA may link to or integrate with payment processors, streaming platforms, social-media services, distributors, retailers, analytics providers, award producers, framers, shipping companies, and other independent services.

MRAA does not control and is not responsible for an independent third party’s content, policies, security, availability, pricing, decisions, or performance.

11. Suspension and Termination

MRAA may restrict, suspend, or terminate access for:

  • Nonpayment

  • Expired membership

  • False submissions

  • Fraud

  • Abuse

  • Unauthorized use

  • Security risk

  • Intellectual-property violations

  • Interference with an investigation

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Conduct likely to harm MRAA or its reputation

Termination does not eliminate payment obligations, ownership rights, confidentiality duties, indemnification obligations, or other provisions intended to survive.

12. Disclaimer

MRAA services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.

MRAA does not promise that:

  • The website will always be uninterrupted or error-free

  • Every application will be approved

  • Every document can be independently verified

  • Third-party data will be complete or error-free

  • A requested certification level will be awarded

  • A physical award will arrive by a particular date

  • A public record will remain available without interruption

Nothing on the website constitutes legal, accounting, tax, investment, royalty, copyright-ownership, or financial advice.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MRAA and KLM Enterprises Services LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages, lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, reputational harm, or losses caused by third-party services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, aggregate liability arising from an MRAA service will not exceed the amount the claimant paid to MRAA for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

14. Indemnification

A user agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MRAA, KLM Enterprises Services LLC, their owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from:

  • The user’s submission

  • The user’s violation of law

  • The user’s infringement of another person’s rights

  • False or unauthorized documentation

  • Misuse of MRAA marks or certification

  • The user’s breach of these Terms

15. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Before filing a claim, the parties should make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, legal proceedings relating to these Terms shall be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in or serving Jackson County, Missouri.

16. Changes

MRAA may update these Terms. Material changes may be announced by website notice, account notice, or email.

Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance, except where additional consent is required by law.
