Effective Date: July 24, 2026

1. General Policy

MRAA fees compensate MRAA for application intake, account administration, document processing, review, verification, certification work, expedited handling, award production, and related services.

Except where this policy or applicable law requires otherwise, MRAA purchases are final and nonrefundable once the applicable service, review, activation, production, or processing has begun.

A payment does not guarantee approval, certification, a requested certification level, continued membership, or a particular outcome.

2. Membership Application Fee

The current membership-application fee is $50.

The application fee is nonrefundable after the application and payment are submitted because intake and administrative processing begin upon submission.

No refund is issued because:

  • The applicant changes their mind

  • The application is incomplete

  • Additional documents are requested

  • The application is denied

  • The applicant fails to respond

  • The applicant becomes ineligible

  • The applicant applies in the wrong category

  • The applicant chooses not to pay annual dues

  • The applicant is instructed to reapply later

3. Annual Membership Dues

Current standard annual dues are:

  • Individual membership: $200

  • Business or label membership: $500

Annual dues are generally nonrefundable once membership is activated or member access is provided.

Cancellation prevents future renewal where applicable but does not ordinarily produce a prorated refund for the current membership period.

Membership suspension or termination for a policy violation does not create a refund right.

4. Certification Review Fees

Current standard fees are:

  • Member certification review: $210 per request

  • Non-member certification bypass: $270 per request

Certification-review fees are nonrefundable after submission or after review work begins.

No refund is issued because:

  • Certification is denied

  • A lower or different level is approved

  • Additional evidence is requested

  • Submitted evidence is insufficient

  • Evidence cannot be independently confirmed

  • The applicant withdraws

  • The applicant misses a document deadline

  • The applicant selected the wrong project

  • The applicant combined multiple projects

  • MRAA discovers conflicting information

  • The certification is later revoked because of inaccurate or unauthorized information

5. Expedited Review Fees

The current expedited-review charge is $100 in addition to the applicable certification fee.

The expedited fee is nonrefundable once priority processing begins.

Expedited review does not guarantee approval, a particular certification level, or completion on a specific date.

If MRAA determines before beginning expedited work that it cannot provide expedited review, MRAA may refund only the expedited charge while continuing the standard review.

6. Physical Awards and Customized Products

Physical plaques, awards, frames, engraved items, printed certificates, and customized products are final sale once production begins.

A customized order cannot ordinarily be canceled or changed after production begins.

MRAA may replace, repair, or refund an item when:

  • The wrong item was delivered

  • The item arrived materially damaged

  • The approved name or certification information was printed incorrectly because of MRAA or manufacturer error

  • The item was lost in shipping and the carrier confirms the loss

A customer should report a physical-product problem within seven days after delivery and provide photographs, packaging information, and the order number.

Differences in screen color, minor material variation, or damage occurring after delivery do not ordinarily qualify for a refund.

Applicant-provided spelling, name, title, address, or other errors are not MRAA errors.

7. Duplicate Charges

A confirmed duplicate payment made for the same transaction may be refunded.

The customer should provide:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Transaction identifiers

  • Payment dates

  • Amounts

  • A description of the duplicate charge

Separate fees for an application, membership, certification, expedited review, shipping, and an award are not duplicate charges merely because they relate to the same applicant.

8. Unauthorized Transactions

A person who believes a payment was unauthorized should promptly notify:

MRAA may request identity verification and transaction information.

MRAA may suspend the associated application, membership, certification, order, or account while the transaction is investigated.

9. Billing Errors

MRAA will investigate good-faith claims involving:

  • Incorrect amount

  • Incorrect quantity

  • Duplicate processing

  • Payment assigned to the wrong account

  • Payment received but not reflected

  • Technical checkout error

A billing correction is not the same as a discretionary refund.

10. MRAA Cancellation

If MRAA cancels a paid service before beginning work and the cancellation was not caused by the applicant, MRAA may issue a full or partial refund for the unperformed service.

MRAA may instead offer:

  • Account credit

  • Corrected processing

  • Transfer to the proper application type

  • Rescheduled review

  • Replacement product

The remedy will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

11. Processing Time

Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method when practical.

Financial institutions and payment providers control when funds appear in an account. Processing time may vary.

Payment-processing charges may be nonrefundable when the payment provider does not return them, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Customers retain all rights provided by applicable law.

Before initiating a chargeback for an ordinary billing concern, customers are encouraged to contact MRAA so the issue can be investigated.

Submitting a knowingly false chargeback, claiming a legitimate authorized payment was fraudulent, or retaining services while reversing payment may result in:

  • Account suspension

  • Application closure

  • Membership termination

  • Certification hold or revocation

  • Collection activity

  • Recovery of permitted costs

  • Restrictions on future applications

MRAA may submit transaction records, consent records, login information, receipts, application records, and service history to the payment provider when responding to a dispute.

13. Renewal Cancellation

Where automatic renewal is offered, a member may cancel future renewal before the renewal charge through an available account control or by contacting support@mraa.me.

Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the paid term unless otherwise stated.

14. Mandatory Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy eliminates a refund, cancellation, warranty, or consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

15. Contact

Refund or billing requests should be sent to:

Email: support@mraa.me
Subject: Refund or Billing Review

Include the applicant or member name, transaction date, amount, receipt number, and reason for the request.
